The use of unapproved abbreviations is strictly prohibited!
CHC follows its list of PROHIBITED / UNACCEPTABLE abbreviations, acronyms, symbols, and dose designations, which include:

Use “daily” or “every day”

Use “every other day”

Use “morphine, morphine sulfate or magnesium sulfate”

Use “morphine or morphine sulfate”
MgSO4
Use “magnesium sulfate”
Trailing zero after a decimal point (i.e., 1.0mg)
Do not use trailing zeros for doses expressed in whole numbers.
Lack of leading zero before a decimal point (i.e., .5mg)
Always use Zero before a decimal when the dose is less than a whole unit.
