Corporate Compliance

WHAT IS IT?

Corporate Compliance is a system of effective internal controls that promote adherence to federal and state law; program requirements of federal, state and private health plans; and ethical behavior.

Fraudulent high-risk activities include:

• Upcoding

• Billing for services not provided

• Taking bribes or kickbacks

• Payment to other parties to induce referrals

• Providing service without a valid license

• Submitting a claim with inadequate documentation or false documentation to support it

• Billing for a service never rendered

WHAT TO DO?

Every employee is responsible for reporting any potential violation of an organization’s compliance policies.

CHC uses a compliance hotline 888.718.0222 for reporting.
